Temporary Closing of Roads – Roads Act 1993 (Section 75) Road Regulations 1994 (Section 12)

Longford County Council hereby gives notice that it has made an order to close the road described hereunder:

Dates:                                Tuesday, 18 August and Wednesday, 19 August 2026

Hours of Closure:             8am – 6pm

Roads to be Closed:         L-3005-0 Deanscurragh.

The purpose of this closure is to facilitate Footpath Improvement Works at St Marys Terrace and Deanscurragh at its Junction with The R393 Dublin Road.

Local access will be maintained, but there will be no through access via Deanscurragh for safety reasons.

Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works.  In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these necessary works.
